In the words of Ben Stiller in There’s Something About Mary, “What about Brett Favrrrrr?”
Okay, maybe at this point all of us online sportsbook football betting
fans know how to pronounce Brett’s last name, but the questions
regarding Brett Favre’s return, or non-return for that matter, to the
NFL still remain. Favre, who just recently said that the rumors
regarding his return were just that, rumors, hasn’t done enough to
quell those so-called rumors. In fact the talk about an inevitable
return by one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history has started
to heat up for the simple fact that Favre, no doubt, wants to return.
Will he? If he does, where will he return to?
Some sportswriters have questioned Favre’s handling of his desire to
get back into the NFL by calling it “shameful”. Not me! I’m a BetUS online sports wagering writer and online gambling fanatic so my first question is - - how can I make some NFL betting money off of the rumors? Luckily, the BetUS NFL odds makers aren’t afraid to release football odds on anything these days.
That includes online wagering odds on what Brett Favre will do.
The online odds are pretty juicy too. So, let’s get to it!
Favre to Start a Game for the Packers in 08/09 Regular Season
Yes 10/11
No 10/11
Okay, I know that the odds are the same. I do believe that making an
online wager on either yes or no in this situation makes sense. Why?
Because Favre will return but he might not return for the Green Bay Packers. I can how some in the Packers’ organization question the wisdom of taking Brett back after the retirement announcement.
We need to remember that Joe Montana ended up playing for the Kansas City Chiefs,
right? So, to say that Brett will only play for the Packers might not
be altogether correct. Then again, Brett could very well return to the
Pack. His presence does give Green Bay their best chance to win. It’s
your call my fellow online sportsbook betting fans!
Teams That Brett Favre is Most Likely to Play For if He Returns
Obviously, the most likely team is the Green Bay Packers. But the
odds on a lot of these other teams sure are tempting from an online
betting point-of-view! I’ve chosen the odds that make the most sense
based on where the respective teams are. Notice that I haven’t listed a
single other team from the NFC North Division? Why? Because I don’t
believe Favre has it in him to stick it to the folks in Green Bay like
that.
Arizona Cardinals - - BetUS online betting odds
of 100 to 1 - - The Cards are a likely candidate for the fact that Matt
Leinart hasn’t improved as much as Coach Wisenhunt would have liked.
The back-up is Kurt Warner. Brett Favre would be a huge upgrade.
San Francisco 49’ers - - BetUS online betting odds
of 50 to 1 - - Like the Cardinals the 49’ers aren’t very happy with
their current starter, Alex Smith. Unlike the Cardinals, the 49’ers do
not have a viable back-up. This is a team with a talented running back
and better than looks on paper defense. Favre could put them into the
playoffs.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers - - BetUS online betting odds
of 20 to 1 - - Online sportsbook NFL betting fans should see a trend
here. Any NFL team that has quarterback issues could use Brett Favre’s
services. A team with quarterback issues and an offensive-minded coach
who will surround him with playmakers, like John Gruden, could really
use Favre’s services!
Baltimore Ravens - - BetUS online betting odds
of 40 to 1 - - Favre would be perfect with the Ravens - - a good
defense, great running back, good offensive line and a rookie
quarterback that will need at least three years before starting in this
league. Favre could make the Raven’s AFC contenders overnight.
Miami Dolphins - - BetUS online betting odds
of 7 to 1 - - This makes the most sense. John Beck still needs time to
develop and the Dolphins’ defense is getting older. If Bill Parcells is
looking to turn his team into a playoff contender overnight, then Brett
Favre is the answer.
The odds on the Fox network at 3 to 1 makes the most sense. Favre knows the NFC and Fox broadcasts NFC games.
Coach
Favre couldn’t stand to coach. I don’t think it’s in him right now. More than likely he will return to the NFL.
Odds that he unretires and plays next season
The BetUS online sportsbook odds
are to 5 to 1. This is a tremendous bet. Favre will probably return at
some point during the season. I do believe that Aaron Rogers will have
his growing pains early on during the season. If the Packer’s start out
0 and 2, then forget it, Favre returns to the Packers. Favre is itching
to play so badly he might not even wait until the season has started.

Super Bowl Odds on the Packers
I suggest a small wager on the Packers to win the Super Bowl in the BetUS online sportsbook for the simple fact that if Favre returns, the Packers automatically become a Super Bowl contender. With Aaron Rogers, this team will not be nearly as efficient. With Brett Favre, they could win it all.
