Everyone is talking about the Erin Andrews' peephole video.
Lets bring everything into perspective. Andrews may end up launching her real career on a sex tape..
The odd thing is that the video in question had been available on Dalymotion since February 17th and on Google Search for months without anyone knowing who it was. On July 17th, Andrews authorized her attorney to issue a statement via PRNewswire verifying that the woman in the video was her and that the video was made without her knowledge or consent.
The press release and the video's subsequent removal spurred tremendous interest in it online, as there was surge in queries for the video on search engines. Two of the top four search queries on Google Search on July 21, 2009 were related to the video
Andrews has worked for ESPN as a sideline reporter since 2004 for ESPN's College Football Saturday telecast and recently graduated to the College World Series this year. With the recent press about her peephole video and being seen as an empowered victim, you can bet that Andrews will be on the sideline for a few Monday Night Football games this upcoming season.
ESPN threatened legal action against anyone publishing, distributing or even viewing the footage in question. Defying the threat and holding itself to the highest journalistic ethics, the NY Post yesturday posted censored images from the Erin Andrew's peephole video and ESPN has banned the NY Post from further access to ESPN.

I have seen the video (i could be sued by ESPN for admitting that) and if it were not for the press release I could not have known the woman in the video was infact Andrews. As horrible as the act of secretly taping someone is, I have to commend Andrews on taking advantage of it.
Erin Andrews is scheduled to return to reporting duties in September.
