Barcelona was able to take out Schalke without Ronaldinho and Deco. "This team deserves a lot of credit for what it's done. It's fought to the end to achieve this result," Barcelona president Joan Laporta said. "It's a moment to savor."
Chelsea defeated Fenerbahce 2-0 on Tuesday and reached the semifinals for the fourth time in the last five seasons. Liverpool advanced with a 4-2 win over Arsenal on Tuesday. Liverpool hosts Chelsea on April 22 in the first leg with the return match at Stamford Bridge on April 30. Liverpool beat Chelsea in the semifinals in 2005 and again last year. They won the title three years ago. The Champions League final is scheduled to be played in Moscow on May 21.
